From mid-May at the Messehallen Gießen a drive-in cinema invites you to finally enjoy movies on the big screen again. But this temporary drive-in cinema also has another program highlight to offer: A drive-in concert by the band REVOLVERHELD! Since the first date on May 22 was quickly sold out, there is now an additional date on Wednesday, May 20, 2020! Tickets for the concert are limited to 250 cars.
The band will play live on a stage at the venue. However, the concert will also be broadcast on the 140sqm drive-in screen. The sound will be transmitted directly via FM transmitter into the car radios. This is a somewhat different live atmosphere - but nevertheless a live atmosphere that can only be experienced very rarely this year! That's why you should secure tickets for this concert quickly! Please note: Also at the concert there may be max. 2 persons per car or 3-4 persons from the same household.
LIGHT THUDS instead of CLATTERING:
Unusual rules apply for an event as unusual as this one. Freaking out, as you might do at ordinary live concerts, unfortunately doesn't work here. Because on the drive-in area also the noise protection conditions are to be kept. So it is not allowed to clap loudly or to shout, just as little as to honk. Instead of applause, the use of the "flashing light" is expressly desired. The engines must be turned off after the briefing as well as during the concert and the car windows are to be kept closed - except for oxygen supply - in principle.
