S-Bahn runs after football matches only in the direction of Frankfurt City

Changes in S-Bahn traffic: on match days until two hours after the end of the match from the stadium only trains in the direction of the city centre - arrival traffic not affected

For the departure of its customers at football matches, Deutsche Bahn, together with the Federal Police, has adjusted the timetable during the construction work for the new Gateway Gardens S-Bahn station. After football matches, trains will only depart from Frankfurt Stadion station in the direction of Frankfurt City up to and including 12 December 2019. Passengers who want to travel in the direction of the airport, Mainz, Wiesbaden or Riedstadt-Goddelau after the games will have to travel one stop from Frankfurt Stadion to Niederrad or to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and change trains there.

Traffic arriving at the stadium is not affected by this arrangement. Apart from the two hours after the end of the match, trains will continue to stop at the stadium from both directions. However, delays may occur due to the construction work. Deutsche Bahn therefore recommends arriving as early as possible for the games and also planning a little more time than usual for your departure.

The change applies on the following dates:

Saturday, November 2 from 17.15 clock to 19.15 clock

(Eintracht Frankfurt - Bayern Munich)

Thursday, 19. November from 22.30 to 0.30

(International match Germany - Northern Ireland)

Saturday, 23. November from 17.15 to 19.15

(Eintracht Frankfurt - VfL Wolfsburg)

Friday, 6. December from 10.15 pm to 0.15 am

(Eintracht Frankfurt - Hertha BSC Berlin)

Thursday, 12. December from 20:40 to 22:40

(Eintracht Frankfurt - Vitoria Guimaraes)
