Singersongwriter FEE supports as 'Frankfurter Gesicht' the #cleanffm campaign

(ffm) Eintracht president Peter Fischer made the start. Now singer-songwriter FEE Mietz follows him on the big screen as ambassador for the #cleanffm campaign and for more cleanliness in Frankfurt: "Looking at the Main, eating pizza - wonderful! Why should other people, when I have now eaten a pizza on the Main, clean up my pizza box? That doesn't make any sense at all." Her message in the short clip from the video series "More Frankfurt" is unmistakable. She is convinced, she says, "that you can change throwaway behavior slowly, but in the long run." The bright green #cleanffm trash cans in the city's parks and green spaces, with which people already "associate" something, would also help.

The #cleanffm campaign with the 30 to 40-second video clips has been "online" since last year. On the social media channels of #cleanffm, frankfurt.de, as well as on the channels of the celebrities involved. In addition to Peter Fischer and FEE, Henni Nachtsheim of the comedy duo Badesalz, the three-time German champion in calisthenics and athlete of the year of the city of Frankfurt 2017, Korash Kabir, the Green Sauce Festival initiator Maja Wolff to presenters of hr3 such as Jürgen Rasper. In the short promotional films, they motivate Frankfurt's citizens not to throw their rubbish around, but into one of the 7000 public rubbish bins. Eleven films have been shot and released so far, with more in the pipeline.

The most important medium for distributing the films is currently the EKinos at the Hauptwache. They readily support the #cleanffm campaign, as cleanliness in the city itself is very close to their hearts: "We support #cleanffm because we very much want Frankfurt to be cleaner," says Gabriele Jaeger, the manager of EKINOS. The family-run business, which has been operating EKINOS at Hauptwache since 1952, has been concerned about cleanliness in the city for years, Jaeger says. The garbage in the parks and on the streets, on the Main annoyed many Frankfurt residents, says Environment Department Rosemarie Heilig. She is therefore very pleased that "the EKINOs are supporting our campaign again this year. In this way, we reach even more Frankfurt residents and spur them on with the clips to join us in ensuring a clean Frankfurt."
