There's one phrase we've read over and over again in recent months: Special times call for special measures. This is still true in many areas of life - especially in the field of art and culture. In the Skyline Plaza Frankfurt, art is now being brought to life again. In partnership with the Wiesbaden gallery RUBRECHTCONTEMPORARY, colour and life are to be brought back to the centre after these challenging months. The aim is to create a place to linger and be inspired, while supporting the local cultural scene by bringing contemporary artists from the region and elsewhere to a wider audience.
With a sustainable concept that supports the needs of both the art and the operator, the artworks will be positioned on both retail floors in a tour of the center, which is owned by Allianz and CA Immo and operated by ECE. The QR code next to each artist's name will lead visitors to the project's digital exhibition, where further information on the works, the artists and the techniques can be obtained.
"When you dress up storefronts in different locations with a unified "WhiteWall concept", as in the "Skyline Space of Contemporary Art" example, the result is a unique inspirational space when combined with carefully selected art - applied as large plots to the white walls," says Leander Rubrecht, owner of the gallery.
After many shops have had to remain closed for a long time and shopping centres have mostly remained deserted, the campaign also aims to make it clear that shopping centres are more than just places to shop: They are also shop windows, places to meet and places to experience. This is why the Skyline Plaza wants to become a stage for culture and events in Frankfurt. The aim is to make a visit to the center as pleasant and comfortable as possible for customers, especially in these challenging times, and to keep offering them added value with services and innovations. Janine Marz, Center Manager of Skyline Plaza, emphasizes: "With this joint action, we want to send another clear signal for a responsible return to social and cultural life."
