Start of construction for the car park conversion in the Hessen-Center Frankfurt

That there will be some changes in the Hessen-Center, <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc das-hessen-center-erhaelt-eine-verjuengungskur.html _blank>We had already reported HERE. Now the construction work for the announced demolition and new construction of the parking decks in the Hessen-Center Frankfurt has begun.

Olaf M. Kindt, Center Manager Hessen-Center Frankfurt, has performed the symbolic groundbreaking together with the project manager Florian Stockert. "I am delighted that things are finally getting underway and that we can expect construction to start in a few months' time" said Kindt. The first of two parking decks should then be completed as early as autumn 2019.

In the shopping center itself, little of the construction noise has been noticeable so far - and it should remain that way as far as possible. After all, the shopping experience should not be disrupted for customers by the construction work. For this reason, the main entrances will remain passable at all times, and the shopping center will welcome its customers and visitors in a familiar manner.

In order to spare customers noise, dirt and grime, a very careful approach is being taken. In the first step, extensive cordoning-off measures were carried out so that both parked vehicles and pedestrian visitors can comfortably continue to use their learned routes.

The entire construction measure is being completely realized by ECE from the initial planning to completion. At peak times, more than 50 fitters are on site - plus engineers and technicians who look after the project during construction. For the removal of asphalt alone, tons of soil have to be moved. A surface area of approx. 12,500 square metres will be removed - this is roughly the size of 2.5 football pitches.

- Approx. 5,200 tonnes of concrete will be used - this is equivalent to the weight of 10 Airbus A380 aircraft

- Approx. 3,500 cubic metres of asphalt will be removed - this is equivalent to the filling quantity of 35.N</x>- Approximately 10,000 cubic meters of soil will be moved - that's about 10 million liters of water in four Olympic swimming pools.

All construction work will take place while the center remains in operation. Together with the construction company, the center management will make every effort to keep disruptions to ongoing center operations for customers and visitors to an absolute minimum.

The first part of the parking garage is expected to be completed and usable as early as September 2019.

The Hessen-Center will be extensively modernized, redesigned and significantly upgraded for customers and tenants over the next two years as planned for a total of 45 million <x>ampersand</x>euros;. In addition to the demolition and new construction of the parking decks, the measures include improved facilities and many additional services. The quality of stay in the center is to be significantly increased, the center will be more modern and brighter and will have a friendlier atmosphere. Among other things, the mall design will be modernized, comfortable seating and cozy lounge areas will be set up, and the customer corridors, elevator areas, vestibules to the restrooms as well as the customer restrooms themselves and the entrance areas of the center will be upgraded. Signage will also be improved as well as a children's play area will be constructed.
