Last year, the popular STILBLÜTEN FESTIVAL for fashion and design made a guest appearance with a pop-up variant in the Brückenviertel. This beautiful corner of Sachsenhausen, which is not without reason considered one of the most creative places in the city, offered the perfect backdrop for this form of festival, which was then immediately rewarded with a high attendance. Reason enough for a repeat. From 26 to 27 May, fashion, food & design lovers can once again pick colourful style flowers for a whole weekend in the Brückenviertel.
"Even though we can't play a big location with many international exhibitors at the moment, we want to continue to bring fashion and design in manufactory quality to the city with our pop-up formats" says Stilblüten founder Stella Friedrichs. The Mercedes vehicle hall, most recently the permanent home of the Stilblüten festival, is about to be demolished. Large spaces are rare in Frankfurt am Main. But Stilblüten continues to flourish - with selected labels, different promotions and exciting cooperation partners such as the Sommersalon in Gelnhausen or the Museum Sinclair in Bad Homburg.
Although it is of course a pity that a big location is missing right now, this pop-up variant has a very special charm, as here a whole neighbourhood is included in the festival. So it's no wonder that the retailers from the fields of fashion, design, jewellery, accessories and handicrafts who have established themselves in and around Brückenstraße are looking forward to the second edition of STILBLÜTEN in their neighbourhood: "It's unbelievable how many people came last time and what a great atmosphere there was in the neighbourhood" says Susanne Stahl, owner of Designe Kleine, who belongs to the trade association and runs the market in the courtyard.
The concept Fashion, Food & design in manufactory quality is consistently pursued by Stilblüten: Almost 25 exhibitors present fashion, bags, hats and jewellery in the exhibition hall in Schulstraße 1 A., another 5 designers show their designs in an exhibition room in the market in the courtyard.
Like Stilblüten, the Markt im Hof in the Brückenviertel has become a permanent institution. Producers from the surrounding countryside, a micro-brewery, cheese affineurs and authentic international street food offer the antithesis of supermarket shopping. On the occasion of the Stilblüten pop-up, the market is open all weekend. And visitors can also look forward to the popular LATE NIGHT SHOPPING, which allows people to shop in the Brückenviertel's shops until midnight on Saturday.
