New housing is desperately needed, especially in a constantly growing city like Frankfurt. Therefore, it is always good news when new housing is built in the city. This is the case, for example, in the new construction area in the north-eastern part of Rebstock. There, the groundbreaking ceremony for the development work was held on behalf of the Rebstock Projektgesellschaft - by Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann together with ABG Managing Director Frank Junker, Frank Berlepp, Managing Director of LBBW Immobilien Management GmbH and the two Managing Directors of the municipal holding company Rebstock Projektgesellschaft Michael Knisatschek and Thomas Berge. Up to 1000 apartments will be built on the site between Leonardo-da-Vinci-Allee and Am Römerhof, which was originally intended for commercial real estate. The main investors are LBBW Immobilien Gruppe and ABG Frankfurt Holding.
Last construction phase of a large urban development
.For Rebstock Projektgesellschaft, which has been developing and marketing the Rebstock site and Rebstockpark for more than 20 years now, this is the last construction phase of the new development area, which covers a total of 27 hectares. "We are pleased to have found reliable investors in LBBW, ABG Frankfurt Holding and Sapphire Immobilien Investment GmbH, with whom we will now bring the project to a good conclusion," emphasize Michael Knisatschek and Thomas Berge, the two managing directors of Rebstock Projektgesellschaft. They welcome the fact that now also the neighborhood square, the Lindbergh Square, desired by many Rebstöckers, will be realized with the participation of the residents and the local council.
Green Rebstockpark
The Rebstockpark is the green district of Frankfurt. Here there are 75,000 square meters of parkland with avenues, fruit groves, play areas and sunbathing lawns, as well as another 30,000 square meters of forest. Right next to it are Rebstockweiher and the city's largest adventure pool, the Rebstockbad. Following the design plans of the American architect Peter Eisenman, renowned investors have built high-quality residential and office buildings with the support of the Rebstock Projektgesellschaft, which realized the development and marketing of one of Frankfurt's largest inner-city conversion areas.
A district with a high quality of life and independent infrastructure has been created on the 27-hectare site in Frankfurt's west. Currently, there are around 2000 apartments in Rebstockpark. The residents, many of them young families with children, have access to a primary school (up to 400 children) and a day care centre. Two further day-care centres are under construction and a fourth is in the planning stage. In addition, the construction of a second primary school is being considered if required.
Rebstockpark is only a few minutes away from Frankfurt's main railway station and the city centre. The public transport options (bus 34 or tram line 17) are also attractive.
The Rebstock Projektgesellschaft is a public-private partnership of the City of Frankfurt am Main with private partners with the task of developing and marketing the Rebstock site. Investors include companies such as ABG Frankfurt Holding, Accor Group, Instone Real Estate, Frankfurter Haus- und Liegenschafts GmbH, Gero Real Estate, LBBW Immobilien Gruppe, MiB Wohnbau, Sapphire Immobilien Investment GmbH, WM Bauträger GmbH, Wüstenrot Haus- und Städtebau GmbH, Unfallkasse Hessen and Zürich Group, among others.
