On Sunday, 27. March, the spring was welcomed in bright sunshine at Frankfurt Airport: with the "Spring Awakening" Fraport invited to the start of the season of its visitor attractions and offered visitors throughout the day many great actions and attractions. On the visitor terrace, which is finally open to the public again after the winter break, the numerous guests were able to enjoy the wonderful spring day and observe the hustle and bustle on the apron, while the children were allowed to romp on the bouncy castle or the roller slide, or could be transformed into a tiger, spider-man, pirate or ice queen at the children's face painting. In addition, there was delicious ice cream, delicious crêpes and cold drinks - so the spring with a touch of vacation feeling could be enjoyed wonderfully!
The "Spring Awakening" was also the perfect opportunity to get to know the visitor center in Terminal 1, which had celebrated its opening last year. Here, too, there were some special attractions such as a visit from airport mascot Fluggi, and his friends Peppa Wutz and Maya the Bee. This made for bright eyes and happy smiles, especially among the very young guests. Singer and KIKA presenter Leontina Klein elicited some exciting information about the airport from her interview partners, while visitors could try their hand as marshals to guide an A320 neo into parking position or explore the entire world of aviation on the interactive LCD wall "The Globe". The opportunity to take a souvenir photo was also taken up by many.
The wild roller coaster ride through the baggage handling system, which can be experienced on moving armchairs using VR glasses, was a particularly good mood for children and adults alike. On a family trip to Frankfurt Airport, of course, a tour of the apron must not be missing. These have also been taking place again since the beginning of March and can be booked as a 45-minute starter tour or as a two-hour XXL tour. The offer was also actively used at the colorful opening event on Sunday. The participants were given a great insight into what happens on the apron and were fed some surprising information about the airport. And of course there was always the opportunity to take photos and capture very special airport moments.
It was a very successful and successful start to the new season of visitor attractions at Frankfurt Airport.
