Swiss street festival: Into the fray by subway

Next to the Berger Straßenfest, the <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de veranstaltungen s event schweizer-strassenfest-2.html _blank>Schweizer Straßenfest is undoubtedly one of Frankfurt's most popular district festivals. The rush was always so great that the festival has been extended to two days for three years. Also on the coming weekend (09. + 10.06.) thousands will make themselves again on the way to Sachsenhausen to celebrate here with culinary delicacies, live music and attractions. Visitors can get there easily by U-Bahn and S-Bahn, but trams and buses will have to be diverted.

Comfortable: By underground into the turmoil

As there are hardly any parking spaces around Schweizer Straße, traffiQ and VGF recommend using public transport to get there. The fastest way to get to the Festmeile is to take the U1, U2, U3 and U8 subway lines to Schweizer Platz or Südbahnhof, which is also served by several S-Bahn lines. Most subways are running with additional cars on the weekend and offer more space.

Tram lines 15 and 16 as well as bus line 78 diverted

Tram lines 15 and 16 as well as bus line 78 run a diversion just a few minutes longer already from Friday, June 8, 6 p.m., via Stresemannallee and Mörfelder Landstraße.

The night bus line n7 in the direction of Schwanheim and the airport will be routed past the festival through Holbeinstraße during the nights from Friday to Sunday.

For the VGF's Ebbelwei Express, the street festival means no round trip through Sachsenhausen. The nostalgia tram runs between Zoo and Westbahnhof in both directions "hibbdebach", i.e. via the Altstadt route.

Those who want to go to the Swiss street festival have it easy: get going, take the right subway and get off in time. Those who want to bypass the festival should find out about driving options early and use alternative routes. Also, some routes will take a little longer than usual.
