It's getting tinglingly sensual again at the Alte Oper, because the tango musical TANGUERA is finally coming back to Frankfurt. Since 2002, the world's first tango musical has been thrilling audiences around the globe. In Germany, too, TANGUERA has already ensured full concert halls and euphoric reviews at several guest performances. After a four-year break, the fiery musical is finally coming back to Frankfurt, where it will be shown at the Alte Oper from 06 to 08 July.
Before the time comes, dancer Melody Celatti and her dance partners Dabel Zanabria and Esteban Domenichini already came to our beautiful city last week to give the press a little taste of what visitors can expect at the Alte Oper. In bright sunshine with a beautiful view of the skyline, the three brought Argentinean fire from Buenos Aires directly to the Main metropolis. The small performance made great desire not to dive deeper into the dramatic story of passion, desire, pain and eroticism, which is told in the musical. Only the dance and the music were enough to show what the story is about. As a result, the tremendous expressive power of the tango becomes clear.
The dance is of course very much at the heart of TANGUERA, as the piece is also a journey through the history of the tango. So if you like emotional stories, passionate dances and fiery rhythms, don't miss this guest performance.
