You decide the anniversary program!
Happy birthday! EKINOS, arguably the city's longest-established film playhouse, is celebrating its 65th birthday this year. And this anniversary wants to celebrate the family business in fourth generation with all film enthusiasts. This is to give something back to the visitors, who are the reason why the cinema has been able to last so long and still enjoys unwavering popularity.
Since the opening of the cinema at Zeil 125 in August 1952, many things have changed at the Hauptwache, but the "Europa-Palast" has remained, grown into the EKINOS and become an important cultural institution for the people of Frankfurt.
Over the past 65 years, the EKINOS have shown many great films for Frankfurt audiences that are now among the "film classics". A <link http: www.cineplex.de filmreihe detail die-filmauswahl frankfurt _blank>selection of these classics would like to bring the EKINOS in your anniversary weeks from 21 August to 1 October 2017 once again on the big screen. This will make many a cinema fan's heart beat much faster!
Under the motto "YOU MAKE CINEMA & DECIDE" all film lovers have the opportunity to help shape the anniversary program. Eighteen international film classics from the last 65 years, from "SINGIN IN THE RAIN", "SPIEL MIR DAS LIED VOM TOD" to "JENSEITS VON AFRIKA", "E.T.", "THE BIG LEBOWSKI", "FORREST GUMP" or "AVATAR" are available for selection. From 29 May to 9 July 2017, everyone has the opportunity to choose their six favourite films from this range online or directly in the EKINOS & ELDORADO. The prize is one of ten free annual tickets to the EKINOS & ELDORADO.
The team at EKINOS is already looking forward to an exciting vote and deciding which of the six classic films will be allowed to be shown again on the big screen for the Frankfurt audience during the anniversary weeks. Because let's be honest: films are still best in the cinema!
