The Film Museum again invites to the Long Oscar® Night 2018

On Sunday night, it's once again "And the Oscar goes to..." in Los Angeles. Those who want to follow along to see whether the favorite "Shape of Water" by Guillermo del Toro will be the big winner of the evening or whether there might be a few surprises this year can, of course, watch the award ceremony from their own couch - or celebrate the long Oscar night with other cineastes at the Deutsches Filmmuseum, as befits their status.

The broadcast on screens in the cinema and in the exhibition rooms will begin at 1:30 a.m. as usual with the stars parading on the Red Carpet, and at 2:30 a.m. Jimmy Kimmel will open the big awards ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard. But of course, even before the broadcast, the night is all about the famous golden boy. There's free styling and from photo booth snapshots to blue screens, there's an opportunity to stage your own glamour look. The Oscar® Quiz has fantastic prizes in store for the tip king or queen and the in-house Oscar® Oracle will be casting a glance into his crystal ball. Hot coffee and cold drinks from the bars will banish fatigue, while culinary treats such as sweet bites and savoury snacks will delight.

And for the first time this year, visitors will have access to an exclusive whisky tasting.

- 11:30, 0:30, 1:30 p.m.: Oscar® guided tours through the permanent exhibition.
