The Green Sauce Day 2019 - World Record in Second Attempt?

Okay, last year's world record attempt did not succeed. Frankfurt failed to polish off the specified amount of servings of our beloved green sauce to secure the record. But of course the initiators Maja Wolff and Torsten Müller do not want to be discouraged by this. With the support of the city of Frankfurt, the second Green Sauce Day will be held on June 6, 2019, with many great activities to appeal to everyone who loves the Green Sauce - or would like to learn to love it. The goal: By the end of the day, 231,775 portions should have been eaten - in restaurants, in canteens, at snack stands, in schools or in central places where there will be special offers on that day.

As was the case last year, an individualized code will be issued with each portion of Green Sauce, which must be entered online or simply scanned. This will then determine the number of servings, which will be monitored by the Record Institute for Germany. Not only the initiators, but also the participating restaurateurs have come up with a lot of ideas to make the "Grie Soß" especially tasty for the visitors. For example, Eis Christina will once again be serving the wonderfully refreshing Grüne Soße ice cream. Should it get extremely hot again, as in 2018, a scoop of ice cream (which counts as one serving) is a real alternative to the classic with potatoes and egg, which will of course also be available. Schaan Bakery will also be taking part in the world record attempt and has created a Green Sauce Kreppel especially for the occasion. Sounds daring - but tastes really good!

In addition, there will also be various international variations, burgers or even a green sauce craft beer from Glaabsbräu from Seligenstadt. In addition, there will be various events such as the sports mile on the banks of the Main. Here, on the southern side, another highlight of the day will also take place: The "Green Dinner". Following the example of the "Diner en Blanc", the longest green mile in Frankfurt will be set up from the Eiserner Steg. Here, all Green Sauce fans will have the opportunity to enjoy Frankfurt's favourite dish together in different zones. In the first zone there is the covered table with service at the square, in zone 2 the table with self-service at the Grie Soß stand and finally in zone 3 there is room for all picnickers who get food at the food truck or bring it from home. The dress code here is green, of course! Seats for zones 1 and 2 must be booked in advance (binding)!

This and much more will be offered on this great day. So: join us all and help to bring Frankfurt the world record! Shortly before the Green Sauce Day we will of course provide you with all the final information. You can find everything else at: http://www.gruene-sosse-tag.de/
