The #MainBecher - for a sustainable carnival

The #MainBecher - for a sustainable carnival

Even when partying hard, you can act sustainably. To prove it, FES is going all out on sustainability in this year's Shrovetide campaign - but in a way that's appropriate for the occasion, of course: this time, the #MainBecher is taking center stage. With cup overalls made from old flag fabric and clothes made from discarded coffee sacks, the waste management company is making a fashion statement at the central meetings and parades and at the same time drawing attention to the reusable cup.

Managing director Benjamin Scheffler says: "Anyone who pays attention to how many disposable cups our employees clear from the streets after each parade will immediately see the sense of reusable solutions at events too. I'm delighted that, as part of the princely alliance, we are once again prominently represented with our message this year."

Last year, the FES prince and princess had already appeared in recycled clothing. Launched in September, the #MainBecher reusable cup - we told you about it in detail HERE - aims to promote more conscious consumption and help reduce the consumption of coffee-to-go cups in the long term. It's 100 percent organic and will be distributed through Frankfurt restaurants, gas stations and other partners.
