The Museumsuferfest will once again be Frankfurt's festival of festivals in 2017

It is the highlight of Frankfurt's cultural calendar: The Museumsuferfest! With around 2 million visitors over three days, covering an event area of 6km with around 500 stalls, 23 participating museums and 17 music stages, it is the largest and also the most challenging festival for the organisers. This ranges from the 180-page security concept to the organization of the various event points to the financing. But year after year, these challenges are mastered by Tourismus+Congress GmbH (TCF) and the participating museums and institutions - much to the delight of the visitors.

At a press conference, Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann and TCF Managing Director Thomas Feda introduced this year's guest of honour. 2017 is a real special one. After the anniversary of the Batschkapp was celebrated in 2016 and thus a cultural institution was the guest of honour, this year it is not one, but many guests of honour: the children! They will be offered a great, colourful and extensive programme on the children's culture meadow on the guest of honour area on the northern bank of the Main, with many performances and interactive activities for everyone from the age of 3. But it is not only on this area that there will be particularly attractive offers for children and young people. For example, there will still be the MUFfelchen scavenger hunt through the museums. In addition, all visitors up to 18 years of age will receive free admission to all museums, not only to the municipal houses.

Whoever does not have children, however, does not have to fear now that one could fall into a ball pool at every corner or be shot at with soap bubbles. As every year, the offer will be so extensive that there really is something for everyone. The festivals integrated into the Museumsuferfest alone, such as the dragon boat race on the Main, the festival of comedy in front of the caricatura, the choir and organ mile or the "Klang im Kloster" (sound in the monastery) - all this and the colourful stage programme, the countless arts and crafts stalls, the special events in the museums and the wide range of culinary delights make a visit to the Museumsuferfest From 25.

You will receive all further information after the big program presentation in mid-August. Only one important information in advance: This year, the traditional closing fireworks will not take place at 10:30 p.m. as in previous years, but already at 10 p.m.
