132 VDP.wineries at the VDP.joint stand in Hall 14
132 VDP.Prädikat Wine Estates will be presenting themselves at ProWein 2017 (19-21 March) at the fair's largest German joint stand in Hall 14.
The debutants of the VDP.fair appearance are the first fillings of the 2016 vintage: VDP.GUTSWEINE and VDP.ORTSWEINE. Due to the early timing of the trade fair, the VDP.Prädikatsweingüter are only offering a first glimpse of the latest vintage at ProWein. Visitors will get the comprehensive vintage overview, with wines from the entire VDP.Herkunftspyramide, at the VDP.Weinbörse in Mainz, the world's largest wine fair for German top wines, which will take place at the end of April (23 - 24 April 2017).

The VDP is the oldest and only national association of top wine estates in the world. 196 Prädikat wineries have self-imposed strict quality standards and benchmarks - from grape to cellar. The four-level VDP.classification pyramid adopted in 2012 defines the quality of their wines according to origin: VDP.GUTSWEIN, VDP.ORTSWEIN, VDP.ERSTE LAGE and VDP.GROSSE LAGE. The VDP grape eagle on each bottle capsule is the quality seal. It stands for a terroir-based and artisanal winemaking.
