Vaccination campaign with spectacular view of Frankfurt skyline

Vaccination campaign with spectacular view of Frankfurt skyline

To reach more people to still get vaccinated against Covid-19, the city of Frankfurt is not only offering more low-threshold vaccination services, but also hosting special special vaccination campaigns, such as the one in Deutsche Bank Park or the vaccination train in the past. Now it's off to the rooftops of the city for another special vaccination campaign. On Friday, November 12, anyone interested can get vaccinated on the premises of Radio Frankfurt, Germany's highest radio studio, while enjoying a spectacular skyline view of the city.

"With our special vaccination campaigns, we want to give all citizens who live or visit Frankfurt the opportunity to get vaccinated easily, quickly and free of charge. The more who get vaccinated, the better we will get through the winter," says Dr. Peter Tinnemann, head of the Frankfurt Health Department.

There are plenty of reasons to get vaccinated. It's not just about protecting yourself, but also friends, parents and grandparents from the consequences of a Corona infection. A complete vaccination protection also makes it possible to celebrate and travel more carefree again. Anyone who still has reservations should be aware that almost seven billion doses of vaccine have now been administered worldwide. Vaccine side effects are very rare and well documented. The vast majority of people tolerate the vaccine very well.

"We are pleased to help encourage even more people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 with this special vaccination promotion. For one day, our Skyline Studios will be transformed into what is believed to be the world's highest vaccination centre. People who want to be vaccinated will not only receive the protective prick, but will also get an exciting look behind the scenes of the radio and see where our presenters usually lead through their programmes, prominent guests are interviewed or our news is created. In addition, the highest vaccination center in the world offers a unique view of the Frankfurt skyline, for which it is definitely worth rolling up your sleeves," says Radio Frankfurt program director Raoul Helmer.

Everyone may be vaccinated who wants to be vaccinated. Prior registration is required because only registered visitors will be granted access to Radio Frankfurt's Skyline Studios. Currently there are still places available. Registration is by email to impfen@radiofrankfurt.de or via the Radio Frankfurt listener phone at 069/669669.

You should bring an identification document to the vaccination. If available, vaccination card and a health insurance card are also beneficial. All vaccinations are carried out on site: First vaccination, second vaccination and a third booster vaccination for people over 70 and all who are eligible. BioNTech or Moderna are offered for the vaccination. For all initial vaccinations, only BioNTech is available.

Those who come for an initial vaccination can receive the second vaccination at their primary care physician's office or without an appointment at the Immunization Center Frankfurt. Information about the vaccination center and an overview of the special vaccination campaigns can be found on the website of the city of Frankfurt at www.frankfurt.de/coronaimpfung
