When the Frankfurt Eintracht was allowed to kick again in the first league for the 2006/2007 season after the already third relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga, the fans sang with full conviction: "Nie mehr Zweite Liga"! A dream that unfortunately was not to come true. In the 2011/12 season, Eintracht was once again in the second division. But the relegation was not to last. The traditional club quickly fought its way back up from the cellar and has been first-class again since the 2012/2013 season.
If it's up to the coach, the team and of course the fans, it should stay that way. That's why it's once again a case of keeping your fingers firmly crossed on Saturday, 26 August, when Eintracht play their first home game against VFL Wolfsburg at the Commerzbank Arena. We keep our fingers crossed and sing: "Eagle on the chest, never again 2. league!"
