Vote now for Frankfurt: Audience award in the competition 'Capital of Fair Trade'

Vote for Frankfurt now!
Audience award in the competition "Capital of Fair Trade"

ffm. Since 2003, the "Capital of Fair Trade" competition has honored municipalities that are committed to fair trade. In Frankfur¬t, too, volunteers, politicians and local government have been committed to fair trade for many years. The city itself has a Fairtrade coordination office, which is located in the department of City Treasurer Bastian Bergerhoff.

"Now there is a chance for Frankfurt to win the audience award in the 'Capital of Fair Trade' competition," says Bergerhoff. "Therefore, I call on all Frankfurter:innen to support the Fairtrade activists and vote for Frankfurt." Around 120 municipalities across Germany are called upon to participate. The number of inhabitants is taken into account when evaluating the votes. Thus, every municipality has an equal chance.

The prize money of 10,000 euros will be used to finance local fair trade activities. The "Capital of Fair Trade" competition is organized by Engagement Global with its Service Agency Communities in One World on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. This year's patron is Federal Development Minister Svenja Schulze.

Voting is open at survey.lamapoll.de/public-prize-HdFH-2023 until Friday, 29. September, possible.
