Welcome to FrankfurtRhineMain!

17th Newcomers Festival at Römer takes place on September 3 at Römer

(kus) Every year, newcomers to Frankfurt can get an orientation about the city and its surroundings. On Sunday, September 3, the Frankfurt Newcomers Festival will take place for the 17th time from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Römer - a crowd-puller for international professionals and their families. The diverse offering includes an internationally themed stage program with music and dance.

This year, for the first time, Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann will welcome guests to the free information fair. "With the Newcomers Festival, we want to offer everyone who is new to Frankfurt the opportunity to get a good overview of the FrankfurtRhineMain metropolitan region," says Feldmann.

According to organizer David Hart of Communication Solutions GmbH, interest remains high. "We expect around 5000 visitors and 60 exhibitors," Hart predicts. Companies, non-profit organisations as well as state and municipal institutions will present themselves.

Besides service providers, international schools and clubs as well as museums and tourism associations can be found in Römerhalle, Schwanenhalle and in the foyer of Frankfurt's Römer. The city of Frankfurt is represented by numerous offices, so that the international newcomers can inform themselves about a wide range of topics, for example about cultural and sports offers. Dance and music performances by international groups will take place on a stage in the Römerhöfchen.

All visitors to the festival will receive a complimentary copy of the Newcomers Guide, now in its 17th year. The English-language publication offers practical information and helpful addresses for living and working in the FrankfurtRhineMain region.

The event is supported by the City of Frankfurt am Main and the State of Hesse.
