Young Media Jury: Public library is looking for young critics again

(kus) There are still vacancies for the next YoungMediaJury (JMJ) of the public library. Until Friday, September 1, young people between the ages of 13 and 16 can apply for the jury.

The JMJ asks for young people's opinions on current new publications. The young experts then choose their favourites from around 100 new youth novels, audio books, comics and mangas, films and games. Before the time comes, the young people in Frankfurt have six months of reading, listening, watching and playing experiences and exciting discussions ahead of them.

The jury's work is accompanied by excursions that provide the young critics with background knowledge about their media. For example, a visit to the book fair, an afternoon with a software developer, a look into an animation studio or a conversation with an author are on the agenda.

The starting signal for the joint campaign of the Frankfurt Lions Clubs and the public library will be given on Monday, September 18.

Further information and application forms are available in all libraries and school libraries of the Frankfurt Public Library and at <link http: www.stadtbuecherei.frankfurt.de _blank>
