Mitchells & Butlers establishes new gastro concept in Germany

Lovers of high-quality steak enjoyment can rejoice. That's because Mitchells & Butlers Germany GmbH is launching its pilot for another gastro concept in Germany on March 1, 2019, with the "Miller & Carter Steakhouse" in the heart of Frankfurt. Miller & Carter is a highly successful steakhouse concept launched in the UK in 2006 by British parent company Mitchells & Butlers, which now has over 100 outlets on the island. In 2017, it added around 30 new locations there. And it is this expansion push that is now set to bring the steakhouse to Germany. Bernd Riegger, managing director of Mitchell's & Butlers Germany GmbH (Wiesbaden), says: "If Miller & Carter establishes itself on the market, nothing stands in the way of a rapid expansion in other major German cities - provided we receive reasonable offers for attractive locations."

Just such an attractive location has been found for the first location in Frankfurt.

Directly at the Alte Oper, as a separately accessible area (entrances Opernplatz and Hochstraße) in the building complex of the luxurious city hotel Sofitel Frankfurt Opera, this first premium location is being built. With a modern, sophisticated design, floor-to-ceiling windows and an open-plan concept on three split levels, the aim is to appeal to a wide audience at lunchtime and in the evening (opening hours from 12.00 to 23.00). Inside and on the two outdoor terraces, around 200 guests can be pampered. Bernd Riegger: "We want to offer a culinary experience and a carefree restaurant visit with high-quality steaks and exquisite wines at an attractive price-performance ratio in a modern ambience." The concept also includes an open kitchen with a grill station, where the chefs are happy to let you look over their shoulder. Those who prefer something more exclusive can take a seat in the separate private dining area.

With a great deal of love for the origin-certified, at least 30-day-aged, hand-cut meat and a high level of expertise in its professional processing, Miller & Carter serves 13 different juicy, tender premium steak varieties in a wide variety of preparation options. With more than a million steaks sold each year and chefs trained at a corporate steak school, Miller & Carter draws on a wealth of experience to provide guests with the perfect steak experience. Special extras such as grilled lobster tail or, for variety, grilled fish, pasta and burgers, as well as a variety of sides and regional dishes, round out the well-organized menu.

The lease signed for the property runs for 15 years, and Mitchell's & Butlers' planned investment for the interior is approximately 1.5 million euros. The new Frankfurt Miller & Carter Steakhouse will employ around 40 staff in service and kitchen and is already open for applications.

The new steakhouse concept is expected to form an additional pillar for the company's continued successful future in the coming years. Currently, Mitchell's & Butlers Germany GmbH already operates two very established gastro concepts in Germany.
