Opening of FOODTOPIA Lounge at MyZeil
Opening of FOODTOPIA Lounge at MyZeil

Preview of the FOODTOPIA opening in April

While construction work is still in full swing, in just over two months the fourth floor of the MyZeil shopping center is set to transform into the hotly anticipated FOODTOPIA - at least in large parts. Shortly before Easter, on April 11, the first ten of a total of fifteen tenants will present themselves in the completely redesigned space. As of today, there is already a small foretaste of this, because in the atmospheric pop-up FOODTOPIA Lounge on the first floor of the shopping center, two of the new tenants are already offering their culinary delicacies. One is eatDoori, which will open its third branch in Frankfurt here after Bahnhofsviertel and Nordend. You can already convince yourself of how delicious the authentic Indian street food tastes with a modern twist at MyZeil. In addition, there are also delicious bowls from Poké You to try in the lounge. Behind it are the Hamburg two-star chef Karlheinz Hauser and his son Tom Hauser, who will spoil their guests with Hawaiian delicacies in the future. All this will be served in an appealing ambience that combines lots of greenery with cozy industrial chic - and great desire for what is to come in a few weeks.

At the opening of the lounge, center manager Markus Schwartz also gave a preview of what visitors can expect from April 11 in MyZeil and especially in FOODTOPIA. One thing in advance: the new food and entertainment destination will not be fully opened on this day. Some of the new tenants are still taking a little longer to fit out their premises, so there will not be a grand opening with all locations until late summer. For example, those looking forward to enjoying cinema at the Astor Film Lounge will have to wait a little longer. Also, the ALEX with its terrace, the La Maison du Pain, the Restaurant Sander and the Frankfurt branch of the Big Chefs concept known from Dubai or even Turkey will not open until late summer. Nevertheless, there is already a lot to celebrate in April.

While the shopping center as a whole presents itself in new splendor and welcomes some new shops and representative flagship stores, Markus Schwartz and his team are especially looking forward to presenting the first ten new food concepts, as well as the action stage, on which great actions will take place all week long, to the public. In addition to new toilets, relaxing seating and a pleasant warmth radiating light concept, visitors can already look forward to a really diverse food offer at Easter: then eatDoori and Poké You will still coa, dean & david, Heidi and Paul, the Mexican Grill Chipotle, French Fries Friends or even a ice cream factory will join.

On stage, for example, yoga classes by Fitness First or Sunday brunch are planned in the morning, show cooking with Karlheinz Hauser or tastings at lunchtime, and after-work events, mini-concerts, poetry slams or watching TATORT together in the evening. The Eintracht games are also to be experienced here with other fans. Another concept to be implemented here is the Frankfurt Cooking Duel, where two participants will cook against each other.

To get visitors in the mood for the new FOODTOPIA brand, the reorientation of MyZeil and the upcoming opening, the new logos of the shopping center and the food and entertainment destination were also unveiled today. In addition, FOODTOPIA's Facebook and Instagram accounts went online. This marks the start of the countdown to the grand opening - we will of course keep you updated on all further developments and events during the opening days!
