Bastian Fiebig has a great passion for wine and pleasure for over 25 years. His small wine import of North Burgundian drops was followed by the engagement as head of the gastronomy editorial department of the Journal Frankfurt and finally the position as head of the Genussakademie. Nevertheless, Fiebig always takes time to give courses on his favorite topic: Champagne, wine and here also again and again the skillful combination of wine and food. The busy gourmet is always on the road to discover new, so far hardly known vintners for the Genussakademie and to publish them in the Genussmagazin. A lot of collected knowledge, which he conveys in his courses in a humorous way.
The focus of the evening is eight different variants of champagne. From the cheapest entry from the discount store to three well-known brands, a vintner's Champagne, Rosé and Blanc de Blanc to the ultimate highlight, the Grande Cuvée from Krug.
Bastian Fiebig accompanies this extraordinary comparative tasting with profound background knowledge on the elegant topic and the right pinch of humour - the topic of champagne is decidedly multifaceted, so that every participant will go home after this evening with the sure feeling of having discovered a new, exciting culinary world for themselves.
