In February 2026, the metropolis on the Main will become the centre of the German marketing scene: on 19 February, the 49th German Marketing Day (DMT) will take place at the Kap Europa Congress Centre. Under the motto "Brand Germany – Courage. Ideas. Future!", the Federal Association of Marketing Clubs (BVMC) aims to bring together leading figures from business, science, media and start-ups.
The city of Frankfurt am Main is supporting the industry meeting not only as host, but also over several years. From 2026 to 2028, a trilogy of marketing days is planned, each with its own focus and culminating in a joint communiqué. This will serve as a recommendation for action for business, society and politics – with the aim of reshaping the perception of the Germany brand.
"A strong signal for the location"
For Frankfurt's Head of Economic Affairs Stephanie Wüst, the establishment of the DMT is an important step: "The fact that German Marketing Day is coming to Frankfurt am Main sends a strong signal. It is one of the leading industry events in the German-speaking world and an excellent opportunity to raise Frankfurt's profile nationally and internationally as a high-performing, creative and networked business location."
Claudio Montanini, President of the BVMC, also has high expectations for the congress. The focus on the "Germany brand" should give the economy new optimism. "We don't just want to lift the lid, we want to blow it off," said Montanini. "There needs to be a jolt through our community. We need more courage, new ideas and the confidence to actively shape the future."
Four key topics
Marketing Day 2026 sees itself as a "positive congress" and aims to show how marketing can provide orientation, highlight opportunities and actively shape change. Four topics structure the programme:
Courage to speak out – Germany tells its story anew
Marketing Next – Future discipline with leadership aspirations
New format for young marketers
In addition to traditional lectures and panel discussions, the DMT focuses on interactive formats. Special attention is paid to the so-called "Pirate Tent" of marketing pioneers. Under the motto "Meet the Next Generation", young marketers up to the age of 36 present their own topics here. After appearing on the main stage, selected speakers will also answer questions from the next generation in the Pirate Tent. This format is sponsored by the state of Hesse.
Highlight: Presentation of the German Marketing Award
At the end of the congress, the German Marketing Award will be presented – one of the most prestigious awards in the industry, recognising outstanding marketing achievements in Germany.
The so-called blind ticket phase runs until 19 November. Further information and registration options are available online from the Federal Association of Marketing Clubs.
