After four months of operation, Gibson Beach Club on Mainzer Landstraße is reporting robust demand – despite changeable weather. Visitor numbers have "significantly exceeded" expectations, said Bastian Bernhagen, managing partner of Gibson Club. On sunny days, the seats on the wooden deck are almost completely booked out. The food court and padel courts are also enjoying brisk use.
Another highlight is a new cooperation with the DWS Group. The asset manager will be represented on the premises with its own DWS & Xtrackers lounge. "As our immediate neighbour, DWS sought dialogue with us at an early stage. We are very pleased that this has resulted in a partnership that is also visible in physical terms," said Bernhagen.
The agreement provides for an exclusively branded lounge with around 60 seats and its own bar. "On days when the lounge is not being used by DWS, it will of course also be available to other guests," added Rüdiger Flörcks, event manager at the Gibson Club.
Peter Uftring, Head of Marketing at DWS in Germany, speaks of "strategic importance." According to Uftring, the demand for high-quality event formats and marketing activities is growing steadily. With the new lounge, "an exclusive, brand-related space for special encounters" has been created. The Gibson Beach Club "understood the requirements from the outset and implemented them professionally – we look forward to many joint projects."
The temporary city beach is located at Mainzer Landstraße 23 in Frankfurt's banking district and covers around 6,800 square metres. Facilities include beach bars, deckchairs and a diverse food court with regional suppliers; The culinary spectrum ranges from burgers and Asian cuisine to focaccia variations and vegan options. Two padel courts complete the sports programme. The Gibson Club plans to host a varied programme of events at the site until mid-2026. After that, the "Canyon" office building is to be constructed on the site. The operator has also announced a seasonal change of use for the cooler months: in November 2025, the beach club will be transformed into an atmospheric winter market. With its positive interim results and new partnership, the Gibson Beach Club is continuing to position itself as an urban meeting place in the banking district – offering leisure activities, gastronomy and brand presence.
