Glaabsbräu spends two winter brewing specialties for the cold season

Glaabsbräu, the oldest brewery in southern Hesse and one of the most innovative breweries in Germany, is delighting beer lovers with two new winter beers this fall. The first is Glaab`s Eisbrecher, which has been on the market for a few days. With an alcohol content of 7.9%, this craft beer is a so-called "Strong Blond". This type of beer originates from Belgium and is known for its high alcohol content. The unusual combination of two different types of malt, four types of hops and three types of yeast results in a fruity and malty taste with subtle notes of pineapple and almond. An intense and very special taste experience that once again underlines the brewery's innovative spirit.

Glaab´s Eisbrecher is offered seasonally from mid-October to the end of February and replaces the traditional Glaabsbräu Doppelbock. "With our Eisbrecher, we want to offer our customers an authentic alternative to the Doppelbock. At the same time, we want to introduce new customers to a strong beer for the cold season. Ice Cold & bockstark.", says brewmaster Julian Menner. Classic Doppelbock drinkers will get their money's worth with this special beer, as the charm of a Doppelbock remains. With "Glaab´s Eisbrecher" Glaabsbräu completes its craft beer range to now six brewing specialties.

The Eisbrecher will be followed in November by the Glaabsbräu Winterradler Alkoholfrei, the first German Winterradler ever, specifically alcohol-free on the market. The taste of the Winterradler Alkoholfrei is convincing due to the harmony of the southern fruits tangerine, lemon as well as orange. The ginger flavour adds a subtle wintry note to the beer. "After the successful launch of our Summer Radler non-alcoholic, we thought of transferring the typically refreshing summer feeling of a Radler into winter. At the same time, the authentic beer taste is preserved by our gentle dealcoholization process," emphasizes Robert Glaab, head of brewing. The new beer will be available in stores and restaurants from mid-November. Also in the Euro bottle 0.33l like the Glaab´s icebreaker.

Glaabsbräu brews their beers individually according to their own recipe with natural aroma hops and the highest quality raw materials. The beers are natural, with no additives, no chemical stabilizers and color beer. Thus Glaabsbräu brews their beers more demanding than the purity law. The brewing process is overall Co2 neutral and drinking water saving.
