Gänseessen in Frankfurt & Rhein-Main - Top-Tipps

Gans gehört für Viele in der Vorweihnachtszeit einfach dazu. Besonders in der klassischen Variante mit Klößen, Maronen und Rotkohl erfreut sich die knusprig gebratene Gans ungebrochener Beliebtheit. Daher bieten viele Restaurants und Gaststätten in Frankfurt und im Rhein-Main-Gebiet ab November bis Weihnachten spezielle Gänse-Menüs an. Dabei verlässt man sich meist auf Bewährtes, versucht aber auch, dem traditionellen Gericht eine ganz eigene Note zu verleihen. Es gibt in Frankfurt zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, zu Zweit oder in größerem Kreis das traditionelle Gänseessen zu zelebrieren. 

Wir haben für Euch einmal ein paar Locations rausgesucht, wo Ihr auch 2022 wieder besonders lecker Gans essen könnt - von der klassischen Apfelweinwirtschaft bis zur gehobenen Küche. Da ist bestimmt für Jeden das Richtige mit dabei! Jetzt müsste Ihr nur noch die für Euch passende Location raussuchen und „gans“ schnell bestellen! In diesem Sinne: Lasst es Euch schmecken!!!!

Frankfurter Haus

On 25 + 26.12.2022 you can enjoy a delicious Christmas menu in the Frankfurter Haus in Neu-Isenburg at noon or in the evening at 7 pm. Goose is also available for selection. Either as goose leg or breast with red cabbage, bread dumplings and chestnuts, or as a whole goose (for 4 people, only on advance order) with side dishes of your choice. The whole goose is available for 199 € and can also be ordered as a 2-course menu (+ 10 € p.p.) or 3-course menu (+ 20 € p.p.).

Margarete

From 11.11. is again goose time in the Margarete! Then come at the menu for 65 € as a main course breast and leg of the Lüneburger goose from free-range husbandry with quince red cabbage, glazed chestnuts and stuffed potato gnocchis on the plates.

If you want to enjoy goose at Margarete, a reservation is highly recommended!

Restaurant Alte Scheune

In historical ambience of the Old Barn in Nieder-Erlenbach you will from 01.11.2022 ¼ goose with potato dumplings, red cabbage or Brussels sprouts and goose sauce offered.

But also whole geese can be ordered here. For 4 people, there is the classic goose stuffed with minced meat (for 165 €), the "Pomeranian Börde" stuffed with minced meat, bacon and champions (for 165 €) or the "Golden Goose" glazed with honey, stuffed with minced meat, pears and walnuts (also for 165 €) on advance order. The geese are served with Brussels sprouts, red cabbage, dumplings and goose gravy.

Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City

Goose to go is also available at Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City (from 01.11.2022). Simply order quantity (1 goose, 1 1/2 geese, 2 geese) and pick up! In the center of the menu for four persons starting from 199 euro the oven-fresh, crisply roasted whole goose stands. The feast also includes red cabbage, delicious potato dumplings, baked apples, an exquisite goose sauce and two bottles of selected red wine. The whole can be delivered if desired also by cab (The account of the journey takes place thereby directly with the cab driver)

Aureus - Restaurant at the Gold Museum

The Aureus Restaurant continues the "Golden Goose" promotion vof the last two years in 2022.

The Golden Aureus Goose consists of:
2x 1/ 2 goose, grandma's red cabbage full, goose jus, 10 original Thuringian dumplings, a box of chocolates and of course cooking instructions for home. The price for it is 249,00 €

Zum Grauen Bock

The traditional pub in Sachsenhausen offers its goose this year from November 1 - December 23. During this time, there is only goose in the Grauen Bock and no food a la carte. To reserve in advance at zumgrauenbock@gmx.de is requested.

Maingau

A real highlight is the city-famous MAINGAU-ABHOLGANS: An oven-fresh roasted Oldenburg goose with cranberry red cabbage, dreamy sauce, Franconian potato dumplings and marzipan morel (cold, cut and packed ready to carry) for 4 people at a price of 155 euros.

From 01.11.2022, the city-known pick-up goose can be paid and collected daily in the time of 10 - 18 o'clock at the reception after order.

On Christmas holidays (23, 24, 25 & 26 December 2022), the collection is only in the time of 10 - 11.30 clock possible!

Zum Löwen

In Alt-Sossenheim is the inn Zum Löwen to house. With the member of the association ring of the cider landlords there is from 01 November 2022 goose for four people fresh from the oven. The price of 144.00 € includes side dishes and the whole thing can also be ordered to go. That it tastes really good here, prove numerous awards, such as the Gastronomiepreis Hessen.

There are also single portions for jew. 36 €

Pantry

The pantry in Alt Heddernheim offers tasty coziness as a remedy for the gray autumn everyday life. Juicy, crispy goose,fresh from the oven, is here from 15 October on the seasonal menu. Simply delicious!

A whole goose (for 4 people) with potato dumplings, apple red cabbage, glazed chestnuts and sauce is also available for home (€ 159.00). It is enough to order the night before!

Römer Pils Brunnen

In the traditional inn in downtown Frankfurt, goose according to grandma's recipe is on the menu during the winter season. Choices include roast goose leg and roast goose breast, each served with poultry jus, potato dumplings, red apple cabbage and cranberries.

Schuch's Restaurant

Also in Alt Praunheim flutter from 01.11.2022 the geese on the plate. The whole goose there is optionally with an apple-onion filling or a bread dumpling chestnut filling. In addition, there are potato dumplings, apple-red cabbage and mugwort sauce. The goose is for 4 persons and costs 36,90€ p.P. - Alternatively can be ordered locally á la Carte the goose as "Tellergericht".

From 01.11. to the Christmas holidays there is also again "Gans to go". Also on Christmas days: on 24.12.from 11-14 clock., on 25.12. from 11-21 clock and on 25.12.2022 from 11-16 clock. The whole goose costs 147,60€

Wirtshaus Oberschweinstiege

From the end of October until the end of December 2022 is again goose time in the Oberschweinstiege. You can choose between three variants:

Variant 1 (without pre-order) is the crispy roast goose with apple red cabbage, two kinds of dumplings, chestnuts, goose sauce and cranberry pears for 29.50 € per person.

Variant 2 is a 3-course menu for €42.50 per person, which is also available without pre-ordering. In addition to pumpkin cream soup and roast goose, there is still homemade gingerbread ice cream to finish. Mmmmmh!

The third option is a 4-course menu with a whole goose, orderable from 2 people. The menu includes field salad as a starter, a pumpkin cream soup as a starter, the goose with chestnuts, two kinds of dumplings and apple red cabbage as a main course and a homemade gingerbread roasted apple tiramisu as a dessert. This variant costs €52.50 per person.

Bornheimer Ratskeller

Reopened in 2018, Bornheimer Ratskeller invites you to stop in throughout the year. The open kitchen allows guests to look over the shoulder of chef Mario Furlanello's team as they prepare delicious dishes. In summer, however, it is especially nice: Then the beer garden in the picturesque inner courtyard entices you outside - with a beautiful view of Bornheim. There one remains with a good glass of cider, a refreshing beer and exquisiten delicacies from the kitchen gladly also times somewhat longer sit.

Ab 11.11.2022 starts also here again the goose season. Then the whole goose for 4 people can be pre-ordered. The 3-course menu costs € 60 per person, without starter and dessert € 44.
